Learn while you earn
You can pick up valuable skills and recognised qualifications in the Army, from a course in languages or computing to a degree in law or medicine - all while getting paid for it. That's because the Army takes its position as one of the biggest employers in the country extremely seriously and believes in investing in its people via training and development. In today's Army, all soldiers and officers are given the chance to learn skills that will be useful in both their immediate careers and beyond, and may even be given the funding to do so.
Educational establishments like Harrogate and Welbeck - The Defence Sixth Form College, teach higher education qualifications to new recruits, where both soldiers and officers can benefit from the generous financial schemes available. And, if during your later service, you wish to learn new skills, you won't have to dig deep. As long as the course is related to your job, the Army will pick up the tab.
