The Army has a team of Careers Advisers who work with schools, colleges, community groups and tutors. They offer tutors and community group leaders a range of projects which can be integrated into lesson plans for years 10 – 13.

A 40-minute PowerPoint presentation explaining the British Army's role in society, covering:
- NATO
- The UN
- The humanitarian role of the Army in today's society
- Opportunities for school leavers to join the Army as either Officers or - Soldiers
- Opportunities for Apprenticeships
- Trade Training
- Further Education Bursaries
- Sixth Form and University scholarships
Citizenship
A PowerPoint presentation and 2-way lesson based on Human Rights covering Democracy, Law and Order, the United Nations (UN) and the British Army.
This includes a detailed case study on the civil war in Sierra Leone with excellent pictures and DVD clips to bring the subject to life.
Enterprise & Personal Development Activities
An Army Team of 5 -15 soldiers will run a range of activities at your school, college or community locations. These activities can be carried out inside or outside, and are designed to promote teamwork and team building, communication skills, leadership, initiative, confidence, physical training and problem solving.
Personal Development Courses
These residential courses usually last 1, 3 or 5 days and are ideal for students who have expressed an interest in the Army. These courses are run and funded completely by the Army, the course will take place at a local barracks and introduce map reading and navigation, survival techniques, outdoor living and cooking and camping. Parental consent is required:
