Bolton

Taking that first step into our office might seem daunting, but we’ll soon put you at ease.

On the team we’ve got soldiers like Warrant Officer Class 2 ‘Dusty’ Rhodes who joined the Army in search of a better way of life with ongoing career opportunities – as well as plenty of spare time for cycling, playing cricket and keeping fit. He and the rest of the team have all gained recognised qualifications and promotions whilst travelling and enjoying the sort of lifestyle many civilians would envy.

If that’s the kind of life you’d like to lead – we want to talk to you.

When you get here
You’ll recognise us by our uniforms and name badges – but frankly we don’t mind if you turn up in your work clothes or everyday wear. We’re simply interested in you and the kind of things you like doing and why you’re considering the Army. One of the team will sit down and chat with you about your life and your interests – and tell you about the wide variety of Army jobs available: such as chefs, tank crewmen, nurses, vehicle mechanics, electricians and so on. We’re here to help you decide if the Army is right for you.

Ask us anything
You’ll probably want to ask about everything from training to career opportunities, travel prospects and how much you’ll get paid. We’ve got the answers to all these questions – plus many more you haven’t yet thought of.

What happens next?
You’ll probably have a lot to think about at first – and you’re welcome to come back and talk some more. Then, if and when you want to take things further, we’ll weigh and measure you to check your Body Mass Index (BMI). Then arrange a formal interview for you and give you an Army Contact form, an Army DVD and your application pack to take away. We can also arrange your British Army Recruitment Battery (BARB) test.
