A SquadronThe Royal Yeomanry Regiment
About usPart of The Royal Yeomanry Regiment, we are a Royal Armoured Corps unit operating in support of Regular Army Force Reconnaissance Regiments.
In your spare time, we’ll train you in light reconnaissance skills, including mounted and dismounted patrolling, covert observation posts (OPs) and urban operations.
Vehicle skills will be a significant part of your training – which could mean getting your first driving licence, learning off-road skills, achieving HGV standard or mastering tracked vehicles.
As a trained member of A Squadron, you’ll be part of an Armoured Support Troop mounted in Spartan Armoured vehicles, supporting the Queens Dragoon Guards based in Germany.
Get in touchYou don’t need to sign up to come and have a go. Visit us on any training night. If you like it, come and join us; if you don’t, you’ll know a bit more about the TA.
