Cardiff
We’re all very down-to-earth – so we’ll soon have you feeling right at home.
The team here are all very approachable. We’ll introduce you to someone like Staff Sergeant Tony Richardson who joined the Army to achieve a solid career. Tony and the other soldiers have plenty to tell you about life in the Army, including climbing, skydiving, skiing and other adventurous activities we take part in.
If this sounds like your sort of lifestyle – let’s talk.
When you get here
We’ll be in uniform but we don’t mind if you turn up in your work clothes or casuals. We’re simply interested in you – the kind of things you like doing and why you’re considering the Army. One of us will ask about your life and interests – and tell you about the wide variety of Army jobs: such as chefs, tank crewmen, nurses, vehicle mechanics, electricians and so on. We’re here to help you decide if the Army is the right option for you.
Ask us anything
You’ll probably want to ask about everything from training to career opportunities, travel prospects and how much you’ll get paid. We’ve got the answers to all these questions – plus many more you haven’t yet thought of.
What happens next?
You’re bound to leave with plenty to think about – and you’re welcome to come back and talk some more. If you want to take things further, we’ll weigh and measure you to check your Body Mass Index (BMI). Then arrange a formal interview for you and give you an Army Contact form, an Army DVD and your application pack to take away. We can also arrange your British Army Recruitment Battery (BARB) test.
