Carmarthen

Our office is an informal place, so just drop in for a chat.

We’re all very friendly, and we’ll sit you down with a member of the team who’ll tell you about getting into the Army, their career, the challenges they’ve faced and about some of the places they’ve been to.
We’ve all had unforgettable experiences, achieved recognised qualifications and enjoyed a lot of adventurous training. So you’ll leave with a much clearer picture of what the Army could have in store for you. We look forward to seeing you.

When you get here
We wear uniforms with name badges and don’t mind whether you wear work clothes or jeans. We’re more interested in you – the things you’re good at and why you’re considering the Army. We’ll talk things through and tell you about all the jobs available such as: chefs, tank crew, nurses, vehicle mechanics, electricians and so on. It’s the first step to helping you decide if the Army is the right choice for you.

Ask us anything
Most of our visitors have questions about the training, career opportunities, travel prospects and what the pay is like. We’ve got the answers to all your questions.

What happens next?
You’ll probably have loads to think about after our first chat – and you can always drop by again. If you want to take things further, we’ll first weigh and measure you to check your Body Mass Index (BMI). Then arrange a formal interview for you and give you an Army Contact form, an Army DVD and your application pack to take away. We can also arrange your British Army Recruitment Battery (BARB) test.
