When you get here
We’ll be in uniform – but it doesn’t matter what you wear. We’re more interested in who you are than whether you’re in work clothes or jeans. One of us will take time to find out a bit about your life and your interests. At this stage you won’t know if the Army is the right choice for you. So we’ll simply tell you about the wide variety of jobs you could go for – such as chef, tank crew, nurse, mechanic, electrician and so on.

Naturally, you’ll want to know about what the training’s like, what your career prospects could be, opportunities for travel, how much you’ll earn… and much more besides. Please just ask – that’s why we’re here.

What happens next?
You’ll probably have plenty to think about after your first visit, and might want to come back to talk some more. But if you want to go to the next stage, we’ll first weigh and measure you to check your Body Mass Index (BMI). Then arrange a formal interview for you and give you an Army Contact form, an Army DVD and your application pack to take away. We can also arrange your British Army Recruitment Battery (BARB) test.
